Well i’m still here and still training. I have completed another Park Run and I did run it this time
Training has continued with mostly gym session. These still consist of the static bike, concept 2 rower and the cross trainer. I seem to be able to do these without breaking any more of my body and they don’t seem to get any easier. I have increased each activity by one minute so I am doing 56 minutes of exercise now.
Nicola has introduced me to some concept 2 rowing apps so I can now link the apps to Strava. “If it’s not on Strava it doesn’t exist :)” .These seem quite good and you can see how other people are doing as well.
Regular help From Gary Telfer and Sharon Dooley at the shop are also helping to keep me moving if only just. Also they can help with advice on training etc especially with my conditions hindering me.
Rickmansworth Park run was good fun and Anne-Marie and Lisa really helped me do my first outdoor run for over six months and we all finished together despite the results putting me 15 seconds behind 🙁 . The good thing was my foot didn’t hurt any more than it had beforehand so in my eyes “Bonus”.
The swimming technical lessons have now finished with jet Stream Tri Club and I would recommend them to anyone who needs to be told about all the bad habits we have gained over the years. Cross training seems to be helping keep my fitness up and I think that is why I managed to run around the 5K run without stopping.
Lets see what next month brings up shall we 🙂
