Week 24
Felt better this week after the last few weeks of winter blues and my mood seems to be getting lighter. Jim may disagree with that but he does have to spend 8 hours a day with me . Only trained 3 times this week but felt better whilst doing them and a bit of enthusiasm seems to be coming back. Even did a sneaky run on the treadmill after work on Saturday.
5th March 2018
Gary Telfer Monday night fitness training. Either I’m getting fitter or this was an easier session. Because Gary has about a 6-week cycle we do use different muscle groups and this didn’t kill my calf muscles quite as much as last week. However, my stomach muscles were in a complete mess and even had Mrs. Talbot looking at me thinking “well I thought I felt bad but look at him!”. Charming!! I’ll get hare back.
6th March 2018
Had Gary Telfer go through my body to try and sort out the different tensions that are causing the problems. He had to “strip” the calf’s out which is most unpleasant but does really help long term.
7th March 2018
To sore to train so Sharon Dooley went through my lower body again but fortunately due to the treatment yesterday she had to be a lot gentler(. I do think as you mature (get older) regular maintenance is a good thing and is intelligent training. Really must start taking my own advice.
8th March 2018
Quick appointment with Gary to tape up my calf and foot. Made a big difference and when doing the gym session, the whole leg felt more secure and less lightly to explode
Back to the Gym for my little Gym Triathlon circuit. 20 minutes on the bike followed by the concept 2 rowing machine for 15 minutes and 25 minutes on the Treadmill. All good.
10th March 2018
Working all day in the shop all day. After work, Gary was running late again so due to my renewed vigor I sneaked in a quick jog on the treadmill whilst waiting. I still amuses me the reaction of people walking past the shop when they see you running. Also, it didn’t help that the Six Nations Rugby had been on at the Ascot Pub.
11th March 2018
Woke up with a really bad throat and feeling rubbish so that and Mother’s Day put pay to any training. Hope Its just a short-term thing as now I’m back in the swing of things I don’t need an excuse to stop again.
Ever onwards ever upwards.
You are never grumpy Phil!!! Good to hear you sounding so positive. Keep on truckin’ ☺
