Phil’s Fitness Diary week 23…….Spring is coming

Week 23(26/2/18 – 4/3/18)
Now I have got my head around training again I started this week with Gary Telfer Fitness training on Monday. Although I find this very hard I think it is only because of my lack of fitness and using different muscle groups that are not normally exercised. It takes me 48 hours to normally recover from this session and this I’m convinced is partly due to age rather than just being unfit 😊. Back to the gym on Thursday for my mini gym triathlon, small treadmill run on Friday evening to work up a thirst (Don’t tell the coach) and a really nice run on Saturday around Ruislip woods and lido.
Quite a pleasing week and I feel I am making progress Mentally and Physically. Let’s hope it now continues going forward

Monday 26th Feb
Gary Telfer Monday Night Fitness Group at Eastcote hockey club. Managed It slightly better than last time but still find it very hard on my calf’s.
Had to wear compression socks again the next day due to my calf muscles being fatigued.

Thursday 1st March
Gym Triathlon Static bike 2 mins 100 watts +, Concept 2 rower 4.1K and Running machine 20 mins. Felt ok But a bit tired on the run hence only 20 minutes

Friday 2nd March.
30 minute run on the treadmill after work. All seems ok on the legs front now to go and rehydrate with some wheat smoothies 😊

Saturday 3rd March
As I wasn’t working today and I was getting stick from the shop I decided to go for a run in Ruislip woods and lido. It was very wet and muddy and I really enjoyed it.

Good week and I hope this good mood continues as the days get lighter.
