Week 18 – 21(18/1/18 – 25/2/18)
Training has not gone well for the last 4 weeks as you probably guessed by the lack of this blog. I have had and precautionary ECG just to make sure that I am in shape to try and train harder and go the green light for that. The doctor has said there is no reason why I should not give it a go (Blast 😊). Bits of my body feel like they have been trying to fall off but Sharon Dooley and Gary Telfer are doing their level best to make sure this doesn’t happen. I think that I am finding it takes my body longer to recover than it used to so this is where the training smarter should come in. Perhaps taking my own advice would help. I am finally getting back on track and starting to train a bit more regularly now and starting to run outside again and enjoy it although I am still semi liking my version of a “Gym Triathlon”
Week 18 (29/1/18 – 4/2/18)
29th Gym session. I did Static bike 20 mins, Concept 2 rower 3K and Running machine 4.8K
1st Feb. Static bike 20 mins, Concept 2 rower 3K and Running machine 8K

6th Feb Treadmill In shop after work 4K
8th Feb. Static bike 22 mins, Concept 2 rower 3.5K and Running machine 4.5K
Week 19 (5/2/18 – 11/2/18)
12th Feb 10K Run Outside. Really enjoyed it for the first time in ages.
14th Feb Technical Running Session on the treadmill with Gary Telfer trying to correct 30 years of bad running technique. Very painful but good to know at least what I should be doing.

Week 21 (19/2/18 – 25/2/18)
19th Feb Gary Telfer Monday Night Fitness Group at Eastcote hockey club. I managed it but only just. Well recommended for anyone who thinks they are fit!! Should have had a lift home but foolishly declined 😊
Had to wear compression socks all day the next day due to my calf muscles being fatigued. Also, stomach muscles or lack of them were killing me as well. ☹
22nd Feb. Static bike 22 mins, Concept 2 rower 3.5K and Running machine 4.5K It took that long to get over Monday’s session but went very well.
23rd Feb. 30 minute run on the treadmill after work. All seems ok just got to look out for my legs trying to explode.
Overall, I am getting my Mogo back and am starting to enjoy the exercise again. I Still need a race to aim for but at the moment seem to be over this slight bump. Ever upward and forward we go
