Week 17 21st – 28th January 2018 Still not sure what is going on with my body. Different parts still hurt and it seems to move around limbs. I do wonder if I have bitten off more than I can chew with this marathon Idea. Perhaps I should just try and get fitter, lose some weight  […]

Week 16 15th  – 21st January 2018 Have not done any training this week and have felt very despondent. My legs seem to be giving me hell and different parts of the body are falling off. Made an appointment with Sharon Dooley and this helped but didn’t give the magical cure I wanted. Why I […]

Week 15 10th January 2018 Went for a swim in the morning as my Achilles and hamstring were playing up because of the long run. They didn’t hurt immediately but felt very uncomfortable on Monday morning. It was making my calf muscles feel tight and like they were ready to go into spasm.   11th January 2018 […]

Week 14 After New years eve partying Monday was just a recovery walk to get some fresh air. Thanks to Sharon Dooley and Gary Telfer I managed to keep training this week as I tweaked my left Hamstring on the Potter street run. It didn’t show up straight away but when I got Gary to […]

Week 13 Christmas Day run didn’t happen with the Talbot Household. Four faults for a refusal as they say in equine circles. Not a bad week though and I still need to sort out a target race. 26th December 2017 Had a steady training run outside today and managed to avoid the inclement weather. I […]

Week 11 This has been one of the worst weeks so far. Probably one of the easiest weeks training for a while but mentally quite tuff. I am struggling with the HR training and being part of the old school I think I should be flogging my guts out to make any difference so walking […]
